About Kriti Agarwal
Kriti Agarwal received the Working Mother of the Year award in 2006, works full time at one of Chandler largest employers and conducts dance workshops on the weekends. She has been featured on several TV channels and print media where she and her dance troupe have demonstrated Bollywood dances and involved audience participation as well.
Kriti Agarwal has been formally trained in two traditional Indian dance styles (Kathak and Bharatnatyam), contemporary, folk and modern dance styles since the tender age of 6 years old.
Growing up in an metropolitan city (Dubai) with a diverse cultural background, Kriti had the advantage of absorbing different cultures from the East and West. Her childhood was spent in India, her formative years were in Dubai and her college education was completed in the USA. Her undergraduate degree is in Business Management and Economics and her MBA degree specializes in Technology Management.
Students of Kriti Dance have learnt and performed at several regional and state levels within Arizona. Their passion, enthusiasm and energy can be demonstrated across different genres, whether it is the film festivals, cultural festivals, sports or national events.
Kriti Dance’s first production for the NBA was for the pre-game entertainment with the Phoenix Mercury. The participants liked the experience of performing there but hungered for more. They performed an energetic and contemporary Bollywood dance during half-time with the Phoenix Suns.
Sept 2011 marked the sixth NBA production for Kriti Dance and with each production grows the team’s enthusiasm to perform with the Mercury and the Suns!
